Though Kannada actor Rajkumar is no more, many a swanky office in the City will be banking on his portrait to save their expensive glass exteriors. On Tuesday, it was brisk sale of both the pictures of the thespian and the red and yellow Kannada flags.
Many offices and public vehicles promptly displayed Rajkumar’s poster to be saved from the unpredictable fury of the agitators. “Nobody will dare throw a stone at annavaru’s picture,” was the reasoning of a shopkeeper in Majestic. October 12 marks six months after the death of the actor.
Tuesday’s procession to bring about awareness on the Wednesday’s State-wide agitation through Bangalore’s Central areas had every Kannada supporter sport a picture of Rajkumar.
