Drunk youths cause trouble
A group of inebriated youth allegedly caused trouble at Kannada cine icon Dr Rajkumar’s samadhi on Thursday morning, during his birth anniversary celebrations. The celebrations began at the samadhi at 1 am on Thursday. The youth are said to have shouted slogans in favour of Dr Rajkumar. It was also alleged that alcohol was consumed near the Samadhi.
Actor Raghavendra Rajkumar told The Times of India that he had informed DGP K R Srinivasan that the thespian’s samadhi was shown disrespect.
He urged Srinivasan to initiate action. “Not only Appaji’s samadhi, no samadhi or statue should be shown disrespect,” he said.
